This is not geek technology for the sake of technology, it well designed and installed solutions aimed at helping you to enjoy your home. We will ensure it meets your needs and that it is intuative and easy to use.

Light can be the most crucial factor in the interior design of a home yet it is frequently overlooked. Good lighting changes the perceptions of light and space, enhancing features, and creating moods.
Control systems, networking and infrastructure can be simple or sophisticated but do need to be considered right from the beginning of the project. Programmed lighting controllers can create multiple moods at the touch of a button and with the use of dimmers and colour can change the function and feel of any space.
Why leave the bathroom light on all night, in case the kids wake up when you could have sensors detect them walking down the landing and turn the lights on at a low level instead? The lights can then automatically turn off a few minutes later. How about turning off the children’s night light automatically at dawn? Steps like this saves energy and therefore reduces the houses overall carbon foot print, as well as lowing energy bills.

Mirror and Bathroom TVs
People like to be able to watch TV in rooms other than the living room, such as the Kitcehn, Bedrrom and Bathroom. The problem is that these rooms often do not have suitable space for a TV, unless of course, it can be hidden away.
How about having a mirror which can turn into a TV at the press of a button? Watch the news while brushing your teeth or catch a cookery program whilst in the kitchen. When the TV is off, it simply looks like a mirror.
In Bathrooms, space in not just a premium but electronics can be hazerdous. Not with a waterproof TV built into the wall of your shower or bath. Now you can catch up on the weather report in the shower or watch the latest ‘soap’ in the bath!

The success of any home technology solution is based around the infrastructure that it is built on. The ability to stream audio, video and data around a building, quickly and without interference is key.
We will use wireless networks where appropriate but we, as a rule, will always recommend a hardwired solution wherever physically possible because of the increased speed and robustness. We setup VLANS to keep high bandwith devices from clogging up your network and VPNs to allow our engineers to remotely manage and update your systems.
Whist the key components in the network will be hard wired, controls, such as iPads and iPhones remain wireless. We provide high-end, managed wireless networks, which allow you have a single SSID (Network name) and password but be able to roam around a property, connecting and disconnecting for different accesspoints, without interuption. Should an access point fail, we get remotely notified and the network self adjusts to make up for the missing access point.
The network needs to be able to support the levels of activity today but also be able to cope with the demands of new technologies as they come on stream e.g. HDTV, VoIP, Broadband, Multiroom audio/video. Redundancy and capacity needs to be designed in at the beginning of the project.
Our networks are built around industry standard protocols and managed using hardware from the leading manufacturers, including Ruckus, Pakedge, Cisco Draytek and Netgear.
Audio Visual installations can greatly enhance any environment but the process can be complex. Our project managers ensure that your installation goes as planned. We liaise with the onsite and third party contractors to ensure that everything is done at the correct time to ensure a smooth process. Whether this is checking the correct cables have been run to the locations specified or meeting the BT engineer to ensure that telephone master sockets have been installed in the correct place, we take care of it.
Typlically, our project management process would involve:
- Meeting the main contractor on site and going through the plans and schedules we have produced, so that everyone on site understands what is required and when.
- Prior to our first fix, doing a site inspection to ensure the correct cables have been run and everything is ready for the install team
- Prior to the main installation, doing a site inspection to check everything is ready and that the build is at a suitable stage to install the more delicate items
- A handover would be done once all our jobs are completed and system documentation would be provided
- A follow up visit a few weeks later with the client would ensure any snagging was completed
Some clients ask us if project management is required if there is a dedicated project manager working for the client. We would always strongly advise to use our project management services as we have a great deal of experience in audio visual systems and in the particular systems we are installing. We would, however, work with the site project manager to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Projectors and Screens
The the true cinematic experience, nothing beats the big screen. Traditional cinema screens are used where you wish to watch a movie on a display bigger that 65”, although large LCD screens of 8-” and larger are becoming more popular.
The downside on a projector screen is that they do require a dark room. This is because as the screen is designed to reflact light from a projector, rather than emit light like a TV, they are suceptable to stray light coming in from windows or doors. Also they either need a fixed screen, which can take up most of a wall, or a ceiling mounted enclosure and mechanism for retracting it when not in use.
There are some screens which can back up very neaqtly when not in use, such as the Design Screen which folds up and is disguised as a picture.
As a result of this, most cinemas tend to be in dedicated rooms.

Security and CCTV
The security of your home is paramount, and the design, specification, integration and integration of the systems needs to be tailored to your specific needs.
Door entry and CCTV systems can be integrated into existing control and video networks, allowing you to view who is at the door or on your premises from any room in the house. Detection systems for fire and intrusion can be linked to lighting systems to increase visibility and aid egress from the property.
Our specialist security advisors can provide a full range of detection, protection and alarm solution based around your requirements.[Published 07.09.12]
Conventional speakers are designed for the ear, not the eye. As a result, they often draw unwanted attention, creating a sense of clutter, that compromises the appearance of the room.

We supply and install a wide range of speakers for a wide range of uses.
Plastered In Ceiling Speakers
These are a form of ceiling speaker but they are plastered and painted over, which makes them completely invisible. They do lack a little bass and hence we would normally suggest using these alongside a sub-woofer. Click here for more information.
Single Stereo Speakers
These look like normal ceiling speakers but they only require one speaker for left and right. Normally used in smaller spaces, such as bathrooms.
This is a set of outdoor speakers. A subwoofer is burried in the ground with an above ground sound vent. Eight satellite speakers are then spread around the garden. Click here for further information.[Published 02.06.14]
